Washing is on, olive sourdough toast with basil pesto, strong coffee smooth enough to taste like chocolate (thanks Aeropress), groovy music playing via AirPlay.

I could get used to this holiday thing.

That’s how I read any press release that goes along the lines of “[software/hardware vendor] quietly updates [product]…”

They’re not sneaking around making Muttley sniggers, they’re (usually) not ashamed or embarrassed about it, they’re just doing what they always do but not making a song and dance about it.

Sheesh.

Great photo here.

Watched this live on an iPad in the kitchen while keeping dinner in a holding pattern as the bird tore up the sky over Florida one last time. Remembered perching in front of the TV as a kid while the first shuttle (Columbia, R.I.P.) sat on the pad some thirty years ago.

Marvelled a bit at how tech has changed (for better and worse) our small world in the last thirty years, wonder what it will do (for better or worse) in the next thirty.
